MEDIA MESSAGES

Media can be used to influence consumers and public opinion on a wide variety of topics (economics, politics, environment, social norms). The evolution of media has become an integral part of our daily reality.  

Media has evolved from simple print to the more recent interactive mobile form which can be used to track and promote our daily activities. Media must be able to engage with an audience but the recipient of any form of communication must be aware that they could be a potential target of media manipulation. Therefore, to be better prepared we need to learn how to interpret the messages that we receive and evaluate how we make decisions about our daily lives.

Recent studies indicate that certain forms of Media can be a negative influence on our brains. The following video outlines some of the negative platforms that can influence our brains in a negative manner: RSPH - Royal Society of Public Health
ASSIGNMENT #2
