Choose Two From Below
PSA (PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT)
1920 pixels wide x 1080 pixels high
Devise a promotional concept for a non-profit or charitable organization or for an issue or cause
you believe in, then create a design to promote the idea. The goal is to create an effective design
that communicates your message simply and clearly.
MOVIE POSTER
2952 pixels high x 1944 pixels wide
Create an official movie poster to promote a fictitious movie. The goal is to create a design that
suits the genre or emotional intent of the film you are promoting. The design must include the
movie title, a catchy “tagline” for the film, and a list of credits. This is not a “coming soon”
poster. The dimensions are the same ratio as the classic movie poster “one-sheet” which
measured 27x41 inches.
BOOK JACKET
11” wide x 8” high [1”Spine • 5” Covers] – resolution 300 pixels per inch
Create a book cover for a famous story from the public domain (like Romeo & Juliet, Dracula or
The Time Machine). The goal is to create a design that suits the genre or emotional intent of the
story. The front cover must include the title of the novel and the author’s name. The spine must
include the title. The back must include a brief summary or “teaser” for the story and should
connect visually with the cover of the novel.
ALBUM DESIGN / Video Game Cover
24cm wide x 12cm high – resolution 118 pixels per cm
Create a folding cd booklet for a fictitious band or artist. The goal is to capture the character of
the band/artist and the flavor or theme of the album. The cover must include the name of the
band/artist and the title of the album. The back must include a list of ten song titles. Because this
is a folding design, be sure to put the front cover on the right hand side of the design.
