SHOET PART 1- Photography and Design

Your assignment is to shoot a shoe from 20 different angles, edit them either in a contrasty black and white or bright and colourful edit and be consistent with all your editing so all your pictures look the same. For this assignment, you are going to demonstrate your ability to take pictures from many different angles of a shoe.

  • Choose your favorite shoe or the one you are wearing, a well-worn shoe, a colorful shoe, or a friend’s shoe, but it has to be a shoe.
  • Take a total of 20 DIFFERENT pictures of the same shoe.
  • Look for different angles and perspectives on the shoe.
  • GET CLOSE and get creative with the shoe! FILL YOUR FRAME!!!
  • Choose a well-lit area and make sure the background is not cluttered, which may cause a distraction from the shoe. You can even make a little studio with paper or a sheet to use as your backdrop.
  • **Always tap the screen to lock your focus**
  • Put 15-20 of your photos onto a collage. If you have trouble building one that big, make several collages and put those collages together. I strongly encourage you to use a template and have some space between your photos. **Be creative with your design!**
  • Create a document that is 8.5in x 11 in. You will find grids under ELEMENTS (search GRID)
  • Label it and save in the format-  SHOE_yourname.pdf
