Cut Out Animation

Create a cut out animation that is 45s long.

You will use Photoshop to create your animation.  You can use images from the internet, pictures that you have drawn, magazine cut outs, newspapers, photos that you have taken.  Anything that you can manipulate within Photoshop.

You will be creating the animation on your own.

Pre-Production
Go on YouTube and look up “Cut out” animation examples.  There are a bunch there.  This could help you come up with an idea.
Type out a  short paragraph outlining what your animation is going to be about. You will hand this in with your storyboards for your animation.
If you have drawings-magazine-newspaper clippings that you want to use. We can scan them so you can use them in Photoshop.

Production

You will use Photoshop to create your animation.  You can create your characters by extracting them out and moving them around your background (Photoshop Animation Assignment).  Make sure you have the timeline on in Photoshop to create your animation.

Post Production
You will edit your animation in Premiere Pro.  You will add music/special effects/voices during this stage.

Things to think about.
Make it simple.  It is going to be a short animation, so make the concept, or story line very easy to understand.
