 DIGITAL SELF-PORTRAIT

Picture
This should take you 2-3 days to complete.
Tradition says we must now create bright, modern portraits of ourselves to get used to some of the tools in Photoshop.

Here's how to do it:

1) Get your photo taken , or find one on your phone and email it to yourself or use the iPhone cord.
2) Open the photo in Photoshop (File -> Open)
3) Add a layer on top of your photo. This is the layer that you will trace & color on.
4) Outline EVERYTHING with a regular brush, set at 100% hardness.
  • usually in black, but this is your creative choice).
  • You will not be able to color something in unless all lines meet/are connected - otherwise the "paint" spills over the entire page.
5) Use the eye dropper tool on your photo layer to select accurate colors OR find your own.
6) Add something interesting to your background
  • it doesn't have to be the same background you have in the photo
7) Use the paint bucket tool to fill in color
8) Save as a .jpeg file (File -> Save As)

Finished?

Post the completed work into your Google Workbook and comment on how you think it turned out.
