PHOTOSHOP: MR. POTATO HEAD

This is an introduction Photoshop project. Follow these steps:
  1. Click and download the files needed for this assignment. Make sure to save them into your personal folder. Files are on the right hand column.
  2. Complete the assignment by using the 3 selection tools outlined in class. MARQUEE TOOL (Rectangular + Elliptical), MAGIC WAND, and MAGNETIC LASSO
  3. You will be rotating, resizing, and moving objects in layers.
  4. You will create your own Mr. Potato Head. You may use the existing vegetables/fruits given to you, or go and download images from the internet.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must have at least 10 DIFFERENT food items, each on a separate layer. 
  • The layers must be named appropriately (eyes, mouth, hair, etc...)
  • The items on layers must be sized, rotated and moved to the correct location to represent a part of Mr. Potato Head
  • The layers must be ordered in a logical way (for example, the main potato layer should not be on top of the eyes, or you can’t see the eyes)

Save this project as potato_yourname.psd 
​(FILE> SAVE AS) PSD to show all your layers

Each individual is to hand in their own assignment.

​Your Name Assignment

For this assignment you will be creating your Name in Photoshop. You will be following the tutorial that is located below.  Some prior examples are on display in the left column.  Remember to place your background photos underneath your Name Layer- these will then be visible within the letters of your name.  Make sure that when you are done - Save your Name as a JPG.

Postcard Greetings

You will create a Postcard from a State/Province/Place that you purchased from your holiday. Just like the name assignment, you will be doing this for our Postcard. Each image will represent the location that you are promoting (Landmarks, buildings, people, locations)   1680 x  1050 pixels (200 dpi)    Retro Post Card Examples
