Your project this week is to create a presentation about a famous photographer.
The photographer can be from the past or present but you must be able to find some information about them (they can't just be someone you follow on instagram, they need to be researchable)
You must answer the following questions about them:
Include the links for where you got your information in a casual bibliography slide at the end of the presentation
Once you have gathered this information about them and have created a google slide presentation about them, you will also attempt some photos in their style/area of photography. There are two options for this. You can either recreate 2 of their original photos yourself OR try to create 3 photos in their style (photos that look like they could've been taken by them). The option you pick will likely depend on what type of photographer they are/were.
Then answer the following questions about the process of taking the photos:
What was the most difficult part of this task?
How can you take what you have done with these photos to improve your photos in the future?
How is your style different/similar to this photographer's style?
In total, you are handing in:google slides presentation - I want everyone to use google slides for ease of handing it in
In the same presentation, include your photos in their style - you must post your original photos, then the photos after you edited them
And your questions reflecting on your photos
How to post:On your website's projects page, create a post called "Research Project" and post the link for the google slides project there. Include your photos (edited and originals) in the google slides project as well as the answers to the questions about your photos.
We will schedule appointments for you to present this information to me over Teams next week (May 25th and 27th). Once you have selected your photographer, you will message me on chat and we will set up a 5 minute meeting.
Here is an example that one created about Canadian Photographer Paul Nicklen:
